Fresh & Crispy Web Design with MadLettuce in Coventry

"Web page design is a process of conceptualization, planning, modeling, and execution of electronic media content delivery via Internet in the form of technologies (such as markup languages) suitable for interpretation and display by a web browser or other web-based graphical user interfaces (GUIs)." Thanks to Wikipedia for that explanation.

MadLettuce Graphic Design

We can design and build web pages for all occasions and all ages. We can use lots of colours. We have a lot of experience with the colour red. We also have lots of experience with multiple language websites and Content Management Systems (CMS). Thats a system where you pay a bit more money at the start but you get to manage the content through a simple webpage which is password protected. So from the comfort of your favourite cybercafe or borrowing your flatmates Mac and with no knowledge of web design you can change text, prices, contact details, pictures, videos and colours on your own website without paying a professional for this type of adhoc maintenance.

What ever you would like for your website, contact us to talk it through. We are small business owners ourselves and understand your concerns and priorities. Maybe you can meet your goals with a cheap template site, perhaps a major shopping cart is worth the investment?

The process for going from a friendly chat to a live website is always the same, regardless of the size of the project and it still needs to follow the MadLettuce Master Plan (below):.

The MadLettuce Master Plan For Web Design Projects

Step 1, Analysis and head scratching

Thinking About MadLettuce Web Design? What you actually need for your business and what you need the site to achieve. How do your competitors do it? What's your budget? What's your deadline?

Step 2, Specification of what needs to be built

"A nice website with lots of blue in it" isn't a good example. Only with a clear specification can resource planning take place which allows a budget and a deadline to be agreed.

Step 3, Design and development

Turning your specifications into a tangible structure with the appearance you like. This usually involves lots of sketches, doodling, and emails asking if you like the design. More blue? A bit more to the left? Up a bit? Down a bit?

Step 4, Designing and producing content

An online store with no products or a website with no text will not be much use to anyone. To fix the navigation a designer will need to know what's being navigated and if there's a lot of content or a little. Does your online store have 5 products or 500? Do you have images already? Do we need to buy artwork? What fields should the forms have? This stage requiers a lot of input from you.

Step 5, Programming and coding

If the previous steps have been completed thouroghly then this should be a silent process for you as our programmers convert all of the chit-chat, plans, sketches and content into a working site. Our programmers are fed medical grade caffine supplements with their meals and are not allowed to leave the premisis until your site has been correctly coded with nice clean code using the most efficient database architecture.

Step 6 Testing and tweaking

Once the programmers have produced your website it needs testing. Do the forms submit? Does Paypal connect correctly? Does the site look good on different browsers? Do the animations work on a Mac? Only when all of the testing has been completed do we allow our programmers to leave the premisis.

Step 7, Payment and 'go live'

Lets not forget payment here. We have bills to pay, our programmers need quality caffine products, we have to buy food for the hamsters on the running mills to keep the electricity flowing and the internet doesn't grow on trees either. The price will have been agreed before starting work so there won't be any suprises. All we ask is that having delivered our end of the agreement that you deliver on yours. Once final payment is received your shiny new website will be live and you can begin to brag to your friends about it.

Step 8, Promotion and bragging

Once the site goes live most businesses like to brag about it. Bragging usually involves emailing clients and contacts a link to the new site and maybe dropping it into a phone conversation with your mum. We can assist you in bragging about your new site by managing press release and social media campaigns as pasrt of an ongoing SEO strategy.

80s Perms Were Great In the 80s But Sometimes Your Image Will Need Updating

Step 9, Ongoing maintenance, updating and Staying Ahead

Once live a website should not need maintaining to keep it showing the same content and selling the same products and services. But just because permmed hair looked good in the 1980's doesn't mean to say it won't be laughable years later. Some industries demand a constantly changing image with ongoing updates of content in order to keep them as points of reference. There are many reasons why your site would need refreshing on a regular basis and as your business grows your website will probably have greater demands placed on it. This can be part of a scheduled review process or you can just wait until your customers let you know it's time for change.

Remember, we make web pages but we dont make a mess and all of our work is 100% recyclable.
